What's happening now

  • Now Hiring!! - Looking for full-time Early Childhood Teachers for our Smithton center for working with preschool children and Infants. Also looking for part-time School-Age Teacher for Smithton center. If you LOVE children and are caring and friendly, call us at (618) 234-8707 and/or apply in person at 514 N Main, Smithton!!

  • As of end of July, our Smithton center has just a few openings remaining in our Pre-K classroom (age 4 by Sept. 1) and our School-Age classroom. At this time we are accepting wait-list enrollment for ages Infant - Jr. Pre-K (age 3 by Sept. 1).

  • Count down to 1st Day of Preschool... Tuesday, Sept. 5th. Our grade-school aligned program has been successfully preparing children for grade school and beyond since 2000. Includes weekly curriculum, themes, activities, class parties, field trips, annual events, optional Karate and Kinderdance, Spanish lessons, breakfast, lunch and snack, friendship and lots of fun. Limited spots remain!!

  • Excited to share... our Smithton Preschool Teachers, Ms. Charmel and Ms. Tara, recently attended the Smartie Con 2017 conference held on July 31st featuring 2 speakers, Abby Hoover and Megan Koester, who are Kindergarten teachers at Smithton School!! The conference was exclusively for Pre-K - Grade 2 teachers and administrators. Topics included: First 30 days, Centers, Teacher Evaluation Tips, Techy Tips, Classroom Management and More!!

  • Are you ready for The Great American Total Solar Eclipse on August 21st? Both centers, Smithton and Red Bud, are in the path of totality! Smithton will see (approx) 1m 32s of totality and Red Bud will see (approx) 2m 21s of totality!!  

Welcome 

Creative Children’s Learning Center offers full and part-time enrollment for infants, toddlers, preschool and school-age childrens ages six weeks through 12 years old. We are committed to providing the very best care, education and experience for you and your child. For your convenience, we provide a number of services including breakfast, lunch and snack. For preschoolers we provide complimentary Spanish lessons, Story Teller visits and offer optional Karate and Kinderdance lessons, depending on location. Our centers are designed with individual, age-appropriate classrooms with art and learning activities for all ages. Our structured, fun-filled learning programs have been successfully preparing children for kindergarten and beyond since 2000. We hope you will find Creative Children's to be a wonderful and caring place for your child to learn and play.

Whether you are looking for full, part-time, mornings only or school days only for preschool, we can accommodate. Preschool curriculum and activities, along with playtime and making friends is year-round for all ages up to Pre-K. We also have tons of fun going on field trips with our own bus transportation. Our bus is awesome too, it has air-conditioning and seat belts for 30 students and 20 integrated car seats for the little ones!

For school-agers we provide before-and-after care, care for on days school is closed or when school has early dismissal. We provide transportation for Smithton, Freeburg and New Athens grade schools for our Smithton center. Red Bud grade schools provide bus transportation to and from our Red Bud center. We also provide an active summer program with lots of activities, weekly themes, field trips, art projects and fun!
